He ope nā Hine-Tuakirikiri e kore a taea te tatau
A group from Hine-Tuakirikiri that cannot be counted
Turakirikiri is an atua of gravel and small rocks - to us this whakatauakī is about strength in numbers. We think of times when our people have come together, to work, to fight, to build, to strategize, to move forward. We continuously draw strength from collective movements of the past and feel solidarity with contemporary collectivity.
A fusion of inspiration from the taiao, and illegible metal band logos, Tuakirikiri is written in Angiangi. This was designed with a black tee in mind, so be sure to check how the lichen green behavs in the other colourways available (it might be great - it might not have enough contrast).
Thanks for supporting Māori business, until the end of 2023 we are donating 100% of our profits to Doctors Without Borders which provides lifesaving medical humanitarian care around the world. This organisation speaks out about what they see while they are providing medical and psychological assistance to people in long-term conflicts and occupations.
